Welcome home.

If you could take one step closer to God,
would you take it?

What if that one step was as close as Easter Sunday?

The Church of Etna & Hanover Center is a life-giving church in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont with a friendly community, Bible-centered messages, and a place where we help people move toward God.

We gather every Sunday at 10am

What can I expect on a Sunday morning?

  • Kids small groups
  • Bible-based preaching
  • Prayer, music performances, and scripture readings
  • Both traditional and contemporary music
  • Refreshments and conversation after the service
Alpha is a night of eating and group discussion. We look at some of the big questions of life, the answers that the Christian faith gives to those questions, and then everyone is invited to share their own thoughts in a safe and judgement free space.

Discussion Groups

Join us for one of our weekly discussions about life, faith and what the Scriptures have to say to us today. These groups are a friendly, safe, nurturing environment for anyone.

Pastor Chris Green has a friendly, heartfelt, and energetic preaching style. With humor and insight he effectively relates Biblical scripture to our everyday lives in his weekly message.

We are two churches with one story.

We are an interdenominational church family here in and for the villages of Etna and Hanover Center. Our “yoked” church is a partnership between the First Baptist Church (est. 1791) in Etna and the First Congregational Church (est. 1768) in Hanover Center. As a result of this partnership, our church family has grown to include a variety of church traditions: Congregational, Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist, Pentecostal, Catholic, Northern American Baptist, Southern Baptist, Presbyterian, and various others.
