MISSIONS

:St. Paul encourages us to be Christ’s hand and feet to show God’s love both locally and across His creation.  In addition to our local outreach, we support mission work around the world.  Our mission committee heads these efforts to help us become aware of the needs in different places with special mission moments during worship and some special visits from those people doing the work in the field.  In addition, our church members have been part of mission teams to the Dominican Republic to help with their local church building projects and Bible school
.

News of Missions
The Missions Committee disburses contributed funds to organizations, purposes, and individuals who are dedicated to being God’s hands throughout the community and the world.  The committee strives to inform the congregation of the work of these ministries and to engage the congregation’s participation and ideas in the committee’s work.  The committee has invited representatives from each ministry to visit and inform the church of the full scope of their service.  These services include spreading the Gospel in rural China and the Dominican Republic, water purification in the Dominican Republic, Bible translation, representatives of Cru Military and Cru campus ministry, a supplier of pediatric standing frames in Peru, plus a Christian camp, and services to the needy and those in prison in northern and southern New Hampshire.

Missions committee work so far this year:
*On Jan. 12, Ralph Puckett and Connie Timlake presented a Moment for Missions on Water Filtration Systems in the Dominican Republic.

* On Feb. 9, we had two inspiring talks from representatives of Rise Again Outreach. Find out more about our recent visitors from Rise Again Outreach Ministry on their website
  https://riseagainoutreach.org/

*The Salvation Army of Berlin will visit us for a brief presentation during the service and a fuller presentation during the fellowship hour at a future date.

Thank you all for your interest and support in these and other missions of the church.  We greatly appreciate it.  For more information on the Mission committee you can contact Ralph Puckett: karenh2554@hotmail.com or Florence Pang: florence.pang@comcast.net

2019 Dominican Republic Mission Trip

The 8-person mission team on the 2019 Mission to the Dominican Republic during Feb 15-23 helped completed the interior painting of the new Riviera Del Cariba church and lead a daily after school Bible school program for 60-90 children.  Our church fund raisers— the January Soup and Sandwich lunch and the chocolate dipped pretzels project– raised needed funds to  help cover construction costs for a new church concrete floor and painting project.  We are truly “God’s hands” helping to pay it forward to many future generations of Christians.

The team carried 13 large suitcases full of school supplies and gently used children’s clothing for the village children there.

Thanks to all our  “non traveling” mission members by your prayers or donations of much needed and appreciated supplies and clothing for children there.

The April 2018 mission trip to Boca Chica in the Dominican Republic:  Pastor Mike Hall led the 12-member mission team from 6 churches across New Hampshire.  Team members ran a week-long vacation Bible school and helped with the construction of the parsonage for the local church:

Our whole church community  has supported this outreach mission.  Here are a few of the activities to support this important ministry:

*CHOCOLATE COVERED PRETZEL FUND RAISER made with love by the mission team & volunteers–for sale in Trumbull Hall  in December.

*SOUP AND SANDWICH LUNCH: January in Trumbull Hall.  Donations of homemade soup and sandwich fixins welcome.

*SCHOOL AND HEALTH SUPPLIES:  a successful collection filled multiple suitcases to capacity that mission team members took with them.
