Updates: Week of January 29, 2023
If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. Psalm 130:3-4
Thank you, Lord, for letting us stand!
Stand With Me: The Missions Committee invites you to a video presentation from Stand With Me during fellowship on Sunday, January 29. Stand With Me is a Christian organization that construct and distribute standing frames for children with cerebral palsy in developing countries. Our church has supported them for several years, and this presentation was crafted specifically for us. Their work has expanded to many areas of the world and their frames truly change a child’s world in remarkable ways. There is also a potential for direct service with them on an upcoming mission in March. We believe in this unique ministry and we believe in the power of pies (courtesy of the committee) to draw a crowd. Come, learn, and enjoy!
SATURDAY! SATURDAY!! UNDER THE LIGHTS!! IN ETNA, NEW HAMPSHIRE!!
Fundraiser for The First Baptist Church of Etna to benefit the Camp Sentinel scholarship fund. $15 per meal suggested donation..
BE THERE! 🙂
Bible studies: We offer two different weekly Bible studies: Wednesday mornings at 10 am and before church on Sunday mornings at 9 am. Both studies are held in Trumbull Hall. We look forward to seeing you at one or both! No prior experience needed – just an eagerness to spend some time reading, reflecting, and discussing God’s Word with like-minded friends. Note that the Wednesday morning Bible study is also available live on-line via Zoom. Go to the Church Calendar to find the Wednesday study and to access the Zoom link.
Church Online – the Zoom Waiting Room: We strive to provide the best possible experience for those who attend our service online via Zoom. To that end, we continue to use a waiting room on Sunday mornings, starting about 10 to 15 minutes into the service. If you join us by Zoom and find yourself in the waiting room, you may see a short, repeating welcome video from Pastor Chris (which you can stop at any time, by the way, by pressing the ‘stop’ button). Our Zoom operator will contact you or let you in as soon as possible. We apologize for the time that it sometimes takes us to do so and we ask for your patience. On our part, we will try to minimize your wait time when the waiting room is enabled.
