Guest preacher Doug Warren continued his exploration of Paul's letter to the church at Philippi with this engaging sermon focusing on Philippians 1:12-26. This passage reinforces Christians' call, in Paul's time and no less so today, to rejoice! We live in the tension of the days between Christ's resurrection on Easter Sunday and His return at the end of history. Even as we endure tremendous difficulty, we will not be ultimately disappointed in our Gospel hope. Therefore, we rejoice that the Gospel continues to advance, that God's people are progressing (individually and collectively) as we grow in our faith (sanctification, to use the theological term), and that Christ will be exalted in the fulfillment of His redemption of all believers on the last day.

 
 

In 1 Corinthians 12, the Apostle Paul describes the church as Christ's body on earth. As part of our Sunday morning service on June 7, 2026, our congregation's David Parsons shared a vivid, insightful, and intensely compelling testimony of his faith journey and his call to work with incarcerated men at the New Hampshire state prison (Concord) under the auspices of Rise Again Healing Ministries. David's story is a stunning and uplifting example of God's active presence in His kingdom here on earth, using the gifts and resources of His redeemed children.
