David Parsons' Testimony: June 7, 2026
Church member and our beloved brother in Christ David Parsons, despite a knee injury days before, shared his inspiring and compelling story with us at our 10 am worship service on Sunday, June 7, 2026. After an introduction by our own Eric Wadsworth (who was also our guest preacher that morning) and the emeritus chair of our Missions Committee, Ralph Puckett, David spoke of his faith and the call he received to begin a ministry to incarcerated men.
David's testimony was followed by Eric's "sermonette" based on Isaiah 6:1-8 and Romans 10:8-15 highlighting the notion of God's calling of members of His church to service. Eric also spoke of the congregation's role in commissioning members of the church (Christ's body on earth!) to their called service. The worship service that Sunday concluded with our commissioning of David, "the laying on of hands". It was a thrilling and awe-inspiring morning.
The word enthusiasm comes from a Greek root meaning infused with the Spirit (literally, having God within). David's enthusiasm and commitment to God shines through in his message! We've collected videos of the event on this page for you to watch at your convenience. Please feel free to share these with friends and family! The events present a vivid picture of God at work in His Kingdom today!
