By this time they were nearing Emmaus and the end of their journey. Jesus acted as if he were going on, but they begged him, “Stay the night with us, since it is getting late.” So he went home with them. As they sat down to eat, he took the bread and blessed it. Then he broke it and gave it to them. Suddenly, their eyes were opened, and they recognized him. And at that moment he disappeared!
They said to each other, “Didn’t our hearts burn within us as he talked with us on the road and explained the Scriptures to us?” And within the hour they were on their way back to Jerusalem. There they found the eleven disciples and the others who had gathered with them, who said, “The Lord has really risen! He appeared to Peter.” – Luke 24:28-34 (NLT)
Men's breakfast: Jim Bullion notes that another month has flown by and Spring [editor's note: New England spring - which is like regular spring, but about six weeks later] is coming fast! What better way to start a weekend than having breakfast and fellowship with a great group of guys... Hope to see you this Saturday, April 26, at 8:00 am! Please join us - the more, the merrier.
Missions Committee: The committee is pleased to announce the visit of Brian and Lynette Smith, International Ministries Global Servants to the Dominican Republic, on May 4. The Smiths have an interesting and vital ministry that involves working with local churches and congregations to help them accomplish their goals. Their close collaboration, advice and engagement with congregations have resulted in signal accomplishments. They have "true missionary hearts" dedicated to the glory of the Lord and advancing His kingdom on earth. Come, meet them, and hear their presentations during and after the service on May 4.
... and the Missions Committee is also quite delighted to report that Major R returned to his family safely on April 17! The picture of him with two-month-old Edmund is the culmination of a long, arduous, and dangerous period of his life. Let us pray that he will be able to say, in the words of the old spiritual, "I ain't gonna study war no more."

Please come and bring a friend – free admission! Donations will be accepted to support the church’s music ministry.
