Thanks to Eric Wadsworth for his personal and compelling sermon, Stones of Remembrance, last Sunday. If you haven't seen it, you can watch it by clicking here.
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. – Philippians 4:4-9 (ESV)

Missions Committee Updates:
The Missions Committee is pleased to announce an upcoming visit by Adult and Teen Challenge New Hampshire, a Christ-centered program for people struggling with drug and alcohol dependency, this Sunday, January 19, 2025. Our visitors will include staff and several men currently participating in the program. Their visit will be a wonderful opportunity to learn about the program directly from those most familiar with it.
Two members of the committee visited the center in Manchester earlier this year and found the people and the program to be brilliant. We encourage everyone's attendance at this signal event.
CRU Military - Prayers for Major R: The committee's received an update and a special prayer request from CRU Military concerning Major R in Ukraine.
The good news is that [Major R's wife] Jenica's pregnancy is progressing well and that their third child, a little boy, is now scheduled to be delivered by C-section on 19 February. If all goes well, their family will then consist of three lovely children. They request our prayers for the safe delivery of a healthy little brother for Mia and Ernie.
The other side of the coin is compelling and very specific. Major R remains the Chief of Staff of his mechanized infantry battalion. The battalion is engaged in daily combat operations and is severely undermanned. Major R specifically asked for the prayers of our church for the lives, souls and families of the men of his battalion, for the success of their operations, and for the restoration of peace. It is highly significant that he asked that his request be transmitted to the Etna-Hanover Center Church and speaks to the relationship our congregation has developed with this officer and his family. It also speaks to the apparent needs of this unit, when an experienced and generally stoic officer reaches out to us in this way.
Update from CU Vox: The Missions Committee has also recently received an update from Timothy Pillsbury at CU Vox (ministry at Dartmouth College). Click here to read it.
