Week of May 26, 2024 - Memorial Day
“The Lord will mediate between nations
and will settle international disputes.
They will hammer their swords into plowshares
and their spears into pruning hooks.
Nation will no longer fight against nation,
nor train for war anymore." - Isaiah 2:4 (NLT)
On Memorial Day, we pause reverently to remember the sacrifice of so many men and women who laid down their lives so that we may still live free. We also pray for the day prophesied by Isaiah, still to come.

No Zumba on Memorial Day: Ronda Fenton reminds everyone that Zumba will not meet on Monday, May 27 (Memorial Day).
Ask Anything with Pastor Chris: Being a person of faith doesn’t mean you don’t have questions. And let’s face it, middle- and high-school students are filled with big questions. All middle school and high school students are invited to come hang out at the church with Pastor Chris on Wednesday, May 29, at 6 pm and bring your questions with you. He doesn’t claim to have all the answers, but he’ll share from his knowledge of the Bible and his own experience. You can send your questions ahead of time via email or text them to Pastor Chris.
Missions Committee Update: The Missions Committee is proud to announce support for Adult and Teen Challenge New Hampshire. We recently had a lengthy discussion with Hector Andujar, the Director of the ministry's New Hampshire residence in Manchester. That meeting, coupled with the committee's advance research, made it obvious that the ministry's Christian-based approach to transforming the lives of people with addiction, the effects of abuse and neglect, and other derivative issues, is vital and worthy of our support. We believe that our church will develop a close relationship with them and look forward to having a visit as soon as schedules permit. In the meantime, Abby Fellows, Janet Grescek and Ralph Puckett will be delighted to entertain your questions.

Hanover Center Old Timers’ Fair - June 29! The full fair is back on Saturday, June 29. For those who are new to the neighborhood, this is a long-standing (more than 50 years), small-town fair that happens on the common in Hanover Center. There is food, an ox pull, games for kids, book sale, white elephant sale, and parade. The night will end with a special musical guest, Brooks Hubbard. Funds raised from this event support the historic Hanover Center Church, and the spirit of community engendered is priceless. Please join the fun! For more information, visit https://www.oldtimersfair.com/.
Bible Study Opportunities: Our church offers two weekly opportunities for study and discussion of the Scriptures. Join us on Sunday mornings at 9 am (before our worship service) in Trumbull Hall for a chapter-by-chapter study of the book of Ruth. We also offer a weekday Bible discussion, expanding on the Scripture covered in the previous Sunday's sermon, on Wednesday mornings at 10 am in Trumbull Hall.
In either case, please join us for coffee, baked goods, and lively discussions of Scripture. All are welcome, no previous experience required!
