And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. - Acts 2:42 (ESV)

Sunday morning "Coffee Hour Ministry":  To paraphrase Pastor Chris, our Sunday morning "Coffee hour" gathering after the 10 am service is our second Sunday morning church service! All ages enjoy gathering in Trumbull Hall after the service to enjoy fresh-brewed coffee, snacks of all kinds, conversation and fellowship (κοινωνία -- or koinonia, as they say).  We are looking for volunteers to sign up to bring snacks on Sunday mornings this fall.   Feel free to team up with another person to share a Sunday.   Really, truly -- anything that you'd like to bring is fine!  Homemade or store bought -- it's all good!   If you have any questions on the matter, just ask one of our snackmeisters such as Becky LaHaye or Susan Johnson! The sign-up sheet is on the bulletin board in the entry area between the sanctuary and Trumbull Hall.
Bible Discussions:  Our Sunday morning Bible discussion is back! Please join us if your schedule permits at 9 am Sunday mornings (starting this week, September 8) in Trumbull Hall at the Etna church for a chapter by chapter look at the New Testament epistle Hebrews.
Our Wednesday morning Bible discussion series in Trumbull Hall, Etna, also continues. Join Pastor Chris and friends for deep and lively discussions sparked by the previous Sunday's sermon.
Both discussion series include coffee and time slot-appropriate snacks.  Interesting and stimulating conversation is guaranteed.  We look forward to seeing you at either or both!
Fall Fest:   Mark your calendar for an unforgettable autumn celebration! On Saturday, September 21st, the charming town of Etna, New Hampshire, is set to host the much-anticipated Fall Fest. This family-friendly event promises an afternoon full of fun, games, live music, and great food. Prepare to be swept away by the festive atmosphere and the warm, welcoming spirit of the community. The Fall Fest will be held at the First Baptist Church Etna, located at 195 Etna Road. This historic location offers an ideal setting for community gatherings and celebrations. The Fall Fest is designed to bring together people of all ages. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor looking for an authentic New Hampshire experience, the Fall Fest is the perfect occasion to mingle, enjoy good music, and eat some good food fresh off the grill. The festivities kick off at 3:00 PM. From the moment you step onto the grounds, you'll be greeted by the sound of live music filling the air. Local bands and talented musicians will take the stage, providing the perfect soundtrack to your Fall Fest experience. While the music plays, you can also participate in a variety of games designed for attendees of all ages. Whether you're competitive or just looking to have a casual, fun time, you're sure to find a game that you'll love. Of course, no festival would be complete without food and drinks!
Volunteer in the Nursery: we are looking for a few people to volunteer to look after our little ones during the service on Sunday morning. If you're interested and would like more info, reach out to Rebecca Green or simply email the church office and let us know of your interest or questions!

Missions Committee - Upcoming Visit:  The Missions Committee would like to announce the visit of Majors Robin and Mark Hager, corps commanders of the Salvation Army of Berlin, NH, to our church on Sunday, September 22nd.  We have supported the Berlin Corps for several years and are delighted to welcome them to Etna. They will give a brief update during the service, followed by a fuller discussion of their many activities during the fellowship hour.  They encourage questions and are looking forward to engaging with us. A representative of the Missions Committee has traveled to Berlin on several occasions and was treated most graciously by a succession of corps commanders and their Sunday congregation.  We have the opportunity to reciprocate their hospitality and to learn about their unique ministry.  Come join them!
