Week of January 28, 2024

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.” Romans 1:16-17 (NIV), quoting Habakkuk 2:4

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect 1 Peter 3:15 (NIV)

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.  2 Corinthians 5:20 (NIV)
Life Shared series:  Join us this Sunday after church for the second week of Life Shared,  a three-part teaching series on sharing your faith.  The first week was well attended and led to some lively conversations.
If you've ever thought about the topic of sharing our faith, and especially if the word evangalism might give you pause ("How do I share my faith without feeling weird?" as Pastor Chris put it), this is a great opportunity!   The video series was prepared by the same group responsible for Alpha (https://alphausa.org/). Each week, we'll watch a 15-20 minute video and then discuss it.  This is a great opportunity to get a taste of what Alpha's like and to develop some approaches to share our faith with others who are seeking more in and from their lives.
A light lunch of soup and crackers will be provided.
Missions Committee Update:  One of the ministries which we enthusiastically support is a multifaceted group called "Cru". Cru is quite active here in New Hampshire in campus ministry.  The committee asked Cru's Brendan Jorgensen for an upate on Cru's activities to share with us.  You may read his 2024 update by clicking here.
Cru's website is https://www.cru.org/
Our Sunday Morning Service Livestream:  First, an apology: Our livestream service provider had a glitch last Sunday that impacted the first few minutes of the service livestream if accessed via the church website. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Second, this is a good excuse to share a reminder -- there are two ways to join us "live" in real time on Sunday mornings if you cannot be with us in person in the sanctuary. Besides watching the livestream using the church online link at our website, our Sunday morning service livestream also runs at on our Youtube channel Just click here to go to our Youtube page, then click on the "live" tab there to join on Sunday morning (see screenshot below). If you miss us on Sunday morning, the complete service videos are always available from the same Youtube link!
