Week of May 4, 2025

There may be so-called gods both in heaven and on earth, and some people actually worship many gods and many lords. But for us,
There is one God, the Father,
by whom all things were created,
and for whom we live.
And there is one Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom all things were created,
and through whom we live. – 1 Cor. 8:5-6 (NLT)
Communion Sunday: This Sunday, May 4, we will celebrate Communion at our 10 am worship service. If you livestream with us, you should have a cracker or a piece of bread and a small cup (sip) of juice or other drink available if you would like to join us in this celebration.

Missions Committee: The committee is pleased to announce the visit of Brian and Lynette Smith, International Ministries Global Servants to the Dominican Republic, this Sunday, May 4. The Smiths have an interesting and vital ministry that involves working with local churches and congregations to help them accomplish their goals. Their close collaboration, advice and engagement with congregations have resulted in signal accomplishments. They have "true missionary hearts" dedicated to the glory of the Lord and advancing His kingdom on earth. Come, meet them, and hear their presentations during and after the service on Sunday.
The Missions Committee also solicits your prayers for the son of BGEN David Phillips, Executive Director of Cru Military, as he undergoes a liver transplant next week.

Don’t Miss This Concert: Wednesday, May 7 @ 7:00pm -- a joyful evening of handbell music!
Upper Valley Ringers, the community handbell ensemble, will “ring in Spring” at Trumbull Hall. Using the theme of “A Life’s Journey”, these collaborative musicians will share arrangements of songs (some familiar!) which evoke the passage through typical stages of life.
If you’ve never heard or watched a bell choir, this would be a great opportunity. Bell ringing is truly a “team sport”, and the Upper Valley Ringers bring their talent and good humor to every challenge! If you are already a handbell fan, come support your colleagues as they offer delightful music!
Please come and bring a friend – free admission! Donations will be accepted to support the church’s music ministry.
